After travelling all day it was lovely to go into a warm cottage the bedrooms were lovely and comfortable beds. It was out of the way from the busy villages which we enjoyed coming back to after a day out. Jim the gentleman next door was wonderful he suggested a few things for us to do while we were there. If you are looking for somewhere quiet after busy days out beautiful views, this cottage is definitely for you. My children didnt want to come home especially my youngest(4 year old) he loved the cottage which he wrote himself in the vistors book. Cant wait to book again next year.

Good base to explore the area. Comfortable beds, fairly plain facilities but generally adequate (milk jug required!). Some issues with downstairs shower which sometimes went too hot or cold - reported to owner who was very friendly and was keen to get it checked.

The beds were comfortable and surroundings so peaceful. The local pub Masonâs arms was lovely. A great location to explore the lakes. We would definitely recommend a stay here and would like to come back ourselves.
