Rivers Edge is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its cleanliness, peaceful location by the river, and modern amenities. The property is noted for its spaciousness, making it suitable for families and groups. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as blankets and a welcome gift, although minor issues with maintenance and heating control were mentioned.
Guests consistently describe the property as clean, comfortable, and well-presented. The high standard of cleanliness contributes to the overall positive experience, with only a few minor comments about bed linen appearance.
The property's location is frequently commended for its tranquillity and proximity to the Lake District's attractions. The ease of access and the scenic river views are highlighted, although seating arrangements for larger groups are noted as a slight drawback.
Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the property cosy and the beds comfortable. The availability of extra blankets and throws adds to the comfort level, though there are remarks about the single beds and seating for larger parties being less comfortable.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with modern appliances and thoughtful inclusions like Chromecast. However, some guests experienced minor issues with the TV remote, front door lock, and heating control, suggesting room for improvement in maintenance.
The owners' thoughtfulness is evident in the provision of local menus, a welcome gift, and their responsiveness to guest needs. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, though delightful, may vary and are not guaranteed.

Locate the open-plan living space, with its bright and airy layout and matte charcoal grey kitchen, hosting an electric oven, halogen hob and microwave for culinary delights. For a fuss-free clean, make use of the washer/dryer and dishwasher, so you don’t need to worry about making a mess as you cook up a storm! After dinner, unwind on the grey corner sofa in front of the wall-mounted TV; snuggle up with your loved ones with popcorn and enjoy a film night-in. Throw open the patio door to discover a private patio area, where you can watch the sky grow dark with a hot chocolate before getting ready for bed. As your eyes grow heavy, retire upstairs where a family bathroom entices you to relish a soak in the tub or the waterfall overhead shower allures you to take a rinse. Explore the local attractions, where you can go back in time in a traditional coach on Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, unveil historical vehicles at Lakeland Motor Museum or test your escape skills at Cliffhanger Rooms. For fantastic wildlife visit the Predator Experience to get up close to wolves, marvel at marine life at Lakes Aquarium or enjoy a peaceful stroll around Hay Bridge Nature Reserve. Venture to the sprawling town of Bowness-on-Windermere to relive your childhood at The World of Beatrix Potter or test your golf at a superb golf course and embark on an adventure around the lovely Lake Windermere. For a much-needed getaway, whisk your favourite people to Rivers Edge.
Newby Bridge, a small settlement on the banks of the River Leven, is named after a five-arched stone bridge built in 1651. Between Haverthwaite and Newby Bridge, the famed Furness Railway, one of Britain's oldest working standard gauge steam railways, operates. Visit the Lakeside Hotels for spectacular views of Windermere and the surrounding fells, or visit the Aquarium of the Lakes to learn about the history of the Lakes through organically designed habitats. Bowness-on-Windermere is a beautiful day trip, and the quaint village of Hawkshead still has the charm and character that endeared it to its most famous residents - William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter. Everything that we needed with a decent oven for cooking!(Which is a welcome change from other places we have stayed in) It was also nice to have toilet roll and cleaning things provided. Location was great for what we needed as we were attending a wedding at townhead estate. Highly recommend this accommodation if you are attending a wedding there. Overall a great little break
Gillian
Equally the bed lined maybe wasnt pressed, rather just put in the tumble. The linen did appear creased. Towels etc were all lovely
