Guests say

River View is a well-received cottage in Backbarrow, praised for its cleanliness, modern amenities, and stunning river views. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to local attractions and the comfort provided, despite some noting the bedroom size as snug. The balcony is a highlight for many, offering a serene spot to enjoy the surroundings.

Guests consistently note the property's cleanliness, describing it as very clean, well-presented, and tidy. The repeated emphasis on cleanliness across reviews suggests a high standard maintained by the property.

The location is frequently praised for its proximity to Windermere and other attractions, with the river view being a notable feature. However, some guests missed local amenities like a nearby pub or shop, slightly affecting the score.

The comfort of the property is generally well-regarded, with mentions of a comfortable bed and cosy atmosphere. However, several guests commented on the limited space around the bed, which impacts the comfort score.

Facilities are modern and well-equipped, but some guests faced challenges with the hob and mentioned a lack of space for toiletries in the shower. The absence of a hairdryer and other small amenities also suggests room for improvement.

While guests mention a welcome pack, there is insufficient information to determine the consistency or quality of thoughtful gestures such as gifts. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such amenities will be provided for every stay.

The apartment is comfortable, very clean and modern. The location was quite convenient for what we wanted. The view of the river was an extra plus point. Only things that could make it even better are a few small amenities such as kitchen towels, hair dryer, scissors, shower products, extra bin bags etc. Every cottage or apartment I have stayed at around or below this price range has had them and it just adds some convenience. I should also mention that the bed was a little smaller than what we’re used to. Overall, we had a nice comfortable stay and would stay again.

Gorgeous location. Our only issue was lack of space in bedroom which made it awkward at night. The photos of the property are accurate so we were aware before we booked. A personal preference for me is kitchen basics such as salt & pepper provided and enough dishwasher tabs for the stay. The welcome pack was nice .Overall enjoyed our stay .
