Guests say

River View is a well-received cottage in Backbarrow, praised for its cleanliness, stunning river views, and modern amenities. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to local attractions and its peaceful environment. While the bedroom size and local amenities have been noted as areas for improvement, the overall experience is positive, with many guests willing to return.

Guests consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'very clean' and 'well presented'. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the positive experience of the stay.

The location is frequently highlighted as great, with easy access to Windermere and other attractions. However, some guests missed having a local pub and shop, which affects the convenience aspect slightly.

The comfort of the property is generally well-regarded, especially the bed's comfort. However, the limited space around the bed and in the living area has been pointed out by several guests as a drawback.

Facilities are modern and well-equipped, but there are comments about the lack of space for toiletries in the shower and the complexity of using the hob. Maintenance issues like the cooker alarm and TV problems were noted by a guest.

While a welcome pack is mentioned, there are no consistent references to gifts or additional thoughtful touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, it's not possible to accurately assess this category.

The apartment is comfortable, very clean and modern. The location was quite convenient for what we wanted. The view of the river was an extra plus point. Only things that could make it even better are a few small amenities such as kitchen towels, hair dryer, scissors, shower products, extra bin bags etc. Every cottage or apartment I have stayed at around or below this price range has had them and it just adds some convenience. I should also mention that the bed was a little smaller than what we’re used to. Overall, we had a nice comfortable stay and would stay again.

Gorgeous location. Our only issue was lack of space in bedroom which made it awkward at night. The photos of the property are accurate so we were aware before we booked. A personal preference for me is kitchen basics such as salt & pepper provided and enough dishwasher tabs for the stay. The welcome pack was nice .Overall enjoyed our stay .
