Guests say

Church View is a well-received cottage in Ambleside, praised for its prime location, comfort, and well-equipped nature. Guests appreciate the convenient parking space and proximity to local amenities. While most reviews highlight the property's cleanliness and cosy atmosphere, a few guests have reported cleanliness issues, which seem to be exceptions rather than the norm.

Most guests found Church View to be clean and well-presented, with several positive comments about its tidiness. However, there was a notable complaint about the property's cleanliness, which impacts the score, suggesting that while generally good, there may be occasional lapses in cleaning standards.

The location of Church View is consistently praised for being central and convenient, with easy access to Ambleside's shops, restaurants, and natural attractions. The availability of a parking space is frequently mentioned as a significant benefit, enhancing guests' experiences.

Guests generally regard the cottage as comfortable and cosy, suitable for two people, with a comfy bed and a warm atmosphere. A few guests mentioned the furniture could be improved, which slightly lowers the score, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

The cottage is well-equipped with necessary amenities, and guests are particularly impressed with the central heating and hot water system. Some guests suggested minor improvements, such as a new sofa and better lighting for reading, indicating room for enhancement in facilities and maintenance.

While some guests mentioned welcome treats, there is not enough consistent information about the thoughtfulness of the host, such as regular provision of gifts or special touches, to accurately score this category. Therefore, the score is set to null, and guests should note that such amenities are not guaranteed.

Only comment would be an outside light on the back sliding door for when packing up (especially in the winter months when your trying to pack up the car to leave once the clocks change and it’s dark by 4.30pm)

It is on a fairly busy road but you really don't notice any noise when inside. It is very convenient for the town which has excellent pubs and restaurants etc. The adjacent parking is a big advantage. We would certainly recommend this cottage and we would very much like to return ourselves one day.

Traffic noise was not noticed as we had thought it might be disturbing. Car parking was a great bonus. Walk in shower might have been preferable to over bath. We enjoyed our stay and it was local to everything. Would choose to stay again if health probs permit.
