Guests say

Guests have praised 'The Lodge' for its cleanliness, prime location near Ambleside, and the charming garden with bird feeders. The property offers a comfortable stay with convenient parking and is ideal for exploring the countryside. Some guests mentioned minor maintenance issues and suggested additional kitchen utensils and seating comfort improvements.

The property consistently receives compliments for its cleanliness, with multiple guests noting the tidy and well-maintained environment. However, a few minor comments about dust and cobwebs suggest there is room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the town centre, quiet surroundings, and easy access to countryside walks. The availability of parking is frequently mentioned as a significant benefit.

Overall, guests find the cottage comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed and a cosy garden. Some guests, however, have suggested that the seating could be more comfortable and that the bed size may be small for two adults.

The property is well-equipped with modern conveniences, but several guests have reported issues with the TV signal, noisy oven fan, and Wi-Fi password. These recurring comments indicate that some facilities require attention.

While guests enjoy the bird feeders and garden, there are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

This was no fault of the cleaner as she had not been notified by LakeLovers that this was a mid week change over. Once highlighted and the cleaner notified the cottage was cleaned immediately. Arthur

This is our third time staying at Lodge cottage, we are very happy with it, near to the town and very quiet, On our previous visit we had problems with the T V going off and on and no signal, when we were here last week, the owner Aruther called with us to put the bin out, and we said to him about this problem and he kindly went away and came back with a new T V and got a man to fit a new aerial and tune it in, and it is working prefect, our thanks to him for solving the problem

Nice position close to walks and park. Good safe parking Heating works well Tv is a little hard to watch as it keeps disappearing . The main change if I was asked would be for a walk in shower would really improve the facilities. Thanks regards Colin
