Within 30 minutes of all the Lakes attractions...would maybe like to see some gates on the driveway...so the dogs could maybe go out at night without having to climb up to the back garden....but this really isn't a negative....wonderful...

Very homely feel and very clean and tidy when we arrived. The cottage was very well equipped with utensils and things like toiletries should you need them and cleaning products too. The cottage is very dog friendly with dog beds made available and treats. There was a lovely welcome pack of wine and biscuits and pods for the coffee maker. The jar of sherbet lemons was a lovely touch. The cottage is nice and close to the southern Lake District so Kendal, Windermere, Bowness, Kirkby Lonsdale and Coniston are all in easy reach so a great base to visit. For us it was an 8 hour journey so visiting again might need a rethink on an overnight stay somewhere en route but we would definitely book West View again and would recommend to anyone
