Welcoming cottage for four, situated high above the bustling village of Glenridding and located on the main bridle path up to Hellvelyn. Country pubs serving good food and local beer are found within 800 metres. Get out and explore the fells, or tackle Helvellyn right from the front door. Aira Force Waterfall is just 3 miles away, and Ullswater Steamers depart less than a mile away from the house. You can take a boat from the village, disembark at Howtown, walk to Pooley Bridge and catch the boat back to Glenridding. This was one of Wordsworth's favourite walks and offers views of Ullswater and Helvellyn. Ullswater is the second largest lake in the Lake District make the most of this incredible location with lakeside picnics and wild swimming, cycling, or hiking around the shore, as well as canoeing and boating. If you are a keen walker, cyclist, or water sports enthusiast then this is the perfect base for you! Approaching this end terrace property, the entrance is accessed via a couple of external steps.
