About this property

Pine Cone Hideaway is a truly idyllic retreat that could be likened to something out of Shakespeare's 'Midsummer Nights' Dream'. Awarded 5 Star Gold, this very romantic retreat has distant views of Budle Bay and a pretty outlook onto the neighbouring woodland where deer and other wildlife are regularly spotted. Sleeping just 2, this cosy cottage has a separate garden room that has been built for star gazing and painting, due to the minimal light pollution that exists in the area. There are two wood-burning stoves, a gorgeous garden, and private parking, and the property is pet-friendly for one dog, no bigger than a Spaniel-size. Free Wi-Fi and Digital Guidebook.

Our stay at Pine Cone Hideaway formed part of our 1st wedding anniversary celebrations, and we wanted a quiet retreat to spend it with out little dog, Bobby. Pine Cone Hideaway has absolutely lived up to our expectations. From the little details like the jar of bird food, through to the wonderful welcome hamper, anniversary card and champagne, and Bobby’s treats, we have loved every moment of our mini-break. Something tells me this won’t be the last time we visit Pine Cone Hideaway.

What a beautiful cosy cottage! The fabulous welcome hamper was the best we have ever had, and we have been coming to Northumberland for many years – this is our tenth visit! We have been blessed with some lovely warm weather this week and taken advantage of all the sunny spots to sit and read and birdwatch in the garden. We had a trip to the Alnwick Gardens and a lovely meal at the The Lord Crewe in Bamburgh. And of course, fish and chips in Seahouses. Until next time!
