Hedgerow Cottage is consistently praised for its peaceful rural setting, high standard of furnishings, and comfortable beds. Its proximity to local attractions and beaches in Northumberland is appreciated, as are the well-equipped kitchen and the presence of two gardens. While some minor suggestions for improvements are noted, guests are overall delighted with their stays, often highlighting the property's cleanliness and the ease of access to nearby towns.
Guests have described the cottage as 'spotless' and 'very clean and tidy', indicating a high level of cleanliness. The property appears to be well-maintained, contributing to guests' comfort during their stay.
The location is highly praised for being serene and quiet, with easy access to local sights and beaches. The rural setting adds to the charm, and the proximity to towns and attractions like Bamburgh and Alnwick Castle is a definite plus.
Comfort is a strong point for Hedgerow Cottage, with multiple reviews mentioning 'comfortable beds', 'warm' atmosphere, and a 'spacious' interior. The presence of two lounges and a log burning stove also contribute to the overall comfort.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a 'gorgeous new bathroom', 'well-equipped kitchen', and 'plenty of room' in the utility area. However, one review suggests redecoration to achieve a higher standard, and another mentions the need for information on how to use the TVs and heating.
While guests appreciate the cleanliness and equipment provided, there is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews. Therefore, it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness based on the provision of gifts, and the score is set to null.

A charming stone built cottage in an outstanding rural location, No. 2 Church Row is as pretty as a picture - approached via a front path, the property has style and character. The cottage is beautifully furnished throughout with a spacious sitting room complete with wood burning stove for the cooler evenings and a well equipped kitchen and separate snug area. Upstairs the three bedrooms are very pretty with iron bedsteads and stylish curtains and throws on the beds. Outside there’s a lovely rear patio with garden table and chairs and a stone outbuilding for storing your bikes. No. 2 Church Row has Four Star and Gold Award from Visit England, a great option of six guests looking to explore this beautifully area of Northumberland.
Nearby Beadnell is just three miles away, a picturesque village with a couple of pubs, two cafes and a village shop so everything you need is on hand. This is a popular spot for watersports with surfing, waterskiing, windsurfing, diving and snorkelling all available locally. If you can tear yourself away from this amazing location it’s worth getting out and about and exploring a little further afield - Northumberland has more castles than any other county in the UK so there’s no excuse!
