What a gem! Coquet Cottage has been a super base from which to explore a little of what Northumberland has to offer. Thank you Lorraine and Paul, for going the extra mile. We cannot fault your attention to detail here and for providing a beautiful, calm and uplifting home-from-home. The lemon cake was every bit as delicious as it looked and the basket of goodies a welcome bonus; much appreciated. We can recommend The Cook and Barker for good food and service, The Fish Shack for proper fish and chips and The Running Fox in Longframlington for great coffee and bakes. The Anglers Arms served us well too. It’s been a lovely holiday, even the weather obliged.

We’ve had a lovely time at your lovely well equipped cottage – despite the rain!  Very cosy and warm too given that its mid-July!  We can recommend a visit to Woodhorn Museum near Ashington if you’ve done other coastal things with excellent exhibition of Pitman Painters!  We will be back I’m sure.

This page, together with its comments, epitomises the care and attention that Lorraine and Paul have poured into creating this lovely temporary home.  The house is lovely – perfectly suited for a couple’s holiday, comes with everything you could want – and then great surprises like Lorraine’s cake (yummy!!).  We have enjoyed dry weather throughout the week, and made the most of it by enjoying lots of places.  Still plenty more places to enjoy, so we will be back.  Thank you so much.
