Coco’s Corner in Felton truly is a fantastic location for exploring the delights of Northumberland.
Between Morpeth to the south and Alnwick to the north, in rural Northumberland, sits the lovely village of Felton. The village is only 10 miles from Alnwick, which is known for its castle and famed Garden, which includes Europe's largest cascading water feature, a huge tree house, a rose garden, and an ornamental walled garden. The community has a shop with a post office, a coffee shop, a pub, and a restaurant. The castle is renowned for serving as the location of Hogwarts School in the "Harry Potter" movies. Alnwick has a good assortment of stores, bars, and restaurants, and there is a lot to see and do nearby, including miles of beaches with fine sand, numerous castles, and boat tours to the well-known Farne Islands. All in all, a fantastic setting for discovering Northumberland and its breathtaking Heritage Coastline.

There were no towels when we arrived so we had to go buy some. As soon as we walked in all you could smell was wet dog and there was long black dog hair all over, in the fridge, hot tub, in the bedding. I vacuumed up trying to clean it but the vacuum just added more dog hair and also stunk. The lodge is for 6 people, which we were a group of 6. There were only 4 forks, 2 spoons, 5 bowls, 5 mugs, 4 glasses. The pans were not big enough and only 2 pans. No scissors, no trays for the oven. The lodge was dirty with mould on the walls in the bathroom, which I cleaned up, cobwebs hanging from the celing in the double bedroom, dust and drit in ever room. I had to clean the draws out with the utensils in as it was again full of dog hair and grease. The kettle had bits floating in it again i had to clean it before use. The light fitting in the bathroom fell on my patners head lucky it wasn't one of my children's. The window latch in the bathroom was broken. The beds and sofa you could feel every spring. The sofa smelt of urine. When you had a shower it just leaked out of the bottom of the lodge. The only good thing about our stay here was the hot tub and location. Certainly not worth the rating it has.

Hot tub was great to relax in at the end of the day. The bad - some bedding still had dog hairs on (I enquired if they were washed at all). General cleanliness could be improved. Message on the day that towels would NOT be provided - only two (hairy) tea towels were there. Not enough crockery, cutlery or cooking equipment. E.g only 5 bowls and 5 forks. Pan not large enough, so we had to cook pasta in two batches. Although the caravan was nicely decorated and the patio would have been pleasant to sit out on if the weather had cooperated, general maintenance was lacking. Missing light cover, broken window catch, some sort of leak under the caravan from the shower. We will not return to this property and do not think it represented good value for money, even considering that we got a substantial discount for booking last minute.
