Guests consistently describe the cottage as 'spotlessly clean' and 'very clean', indicating a high standard of cleanliness. One review mentioned dust under furniture, but this appears to be an isolated comment amidst overall excellent feedback.

The location is highly praised for its convenience to the town, harbour, beach, and coastal path, making it an ideal base for exploring Northumberland. The proximity to local amenities and attractions is consistently noted as a positive aspect.

Numerous reviews mention the comfortable beds, cozy atmosphere, and homely feel of the cottage. The presence of a log burner and the provision of dog towels and bowls add to the overall comfort for guests and their pets.

Facilities are generally regarded as excellent, with mentions of high-quality appliances and well-equipped kitchens. However, a few reviews brought up minor maintenance issues and one instance of a missing item, leading to a slightly lower score.

The owners' thoughtfulness is frequently highlighted, with mentions of welcome gifts such as milk, biscuits, and dog treats. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is noted that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The standard of the interior was very good, you could tell the owners went the extra mile with the furnishings and ornaments. I did have worries about parking initially (neighbour with over zealous signage) but in the end there were no issues. The location was very handy for local amenities. Amble was a very pleasant surprise for me, I knew little about the town prior to our stay but it turned out to be a great location.

The cottage itself is within walking distance of the sea, harbour, shop, pub and chip shop, and centrally placed for visiting the surrounding area. We found the cottage really comfortable, clean and cosy, and we loved the decor. All our holiday needs were catered for, even our two dogs had bowls and towels provided! It was our first time in Northumberland, and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending staying in Seashell Cottage.
