20 odd minutes walk into the village, 15 minutes to the beach for a swim and right on a traffic free Sustrans route for cycling. Chris made us feel very welcome with lots of recommendations of where to vist for our first trip to Northumberland. We hope to be back.

Good base for visiting the surrounding area.

Loved the log burner but didnât need to use it often due to the cottage being so warm. Quiet location on the edge of the lovely village of Warkworth. 5 - 10 minute walk into the village or down to the coastal path/beach. The cottage is in an excellent location to explore Northumbria, both on foot (we enjoyed walks from the cottage to both Amble and Alnmouth) and in the car (we went as far up as Holy Island). The welcome pack was a real treat with home made cake and chocolates included. The cottage is behind the owners house, they are on hand if you need anything but are not intrusive. One of the best cottages we have stayed in, we would return and definitely recommend to others.
