Snaptrip says

Primrose Cottage in Ulverston offers a delightful stay with stunning views, comfortable super-king beds, and a private hot tub. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, cleanliness, and the cosy log fire. While some guests encountered maintenance issues, the majority had a relaxing and enjoyable experience, with many looking forward to returning.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the cottage to be very clean and well-presented. However, there were isolated complaints about food debris on utensils and grease on pans, which suggests occasional lapses in cleanliness standards.

The location is praised for its beautiful views and proximity to the coast and local amenities. Some guests noted traffic noise and a busy road, which slightly detracted from the overall tranquillity.

Guests frequently mentioned the comfortable beds and the cosy atmosphere provided by the log fire. The underfloor heating was a highlight, although there were comments about heating issues which affected comfort for some.

Facilities such as the hot tub and log fire are highly regarded, contributing to a luxurious stay. However, maintenance issues with heating, showers, and lighting have been reported, indicating room for improvement in this area.

While guests were generally pleased with the amenities provided, there is insufficient information regarding specific thoughtful gestures or gifts from the owner to accurately assess this category.

About this property

This is a fantastic mid-terrace cottage, with spacious accommodation which has been designed to ensure your stay is perfect. The ground floor has a contemporary kitchen, a dining room and a cosy sitting room with woodburning stove with doors leading out to a private patio. Upstairs there are two bedrooms designed to capture the mesmerising view, both with en-suite bathrooms. This cottage can connect with Bluebell Ref. 916664 to accommodate 8 guests, making it ideal for two families who wish to be close to each other, but with their own privacy. Note: This cottage can be booked with Refs 916664, 926823 and 926824, together they sleep 12.

Situated on the coast, across from Morecambe Bay is the small village of Aldingham. Local folklore says that the village was once a mile long and that many of the cottages were washed away. Aldingham also has a reputation as a smuggler's village, the perpetrators hiding brandy from France and tobacco from America within the church crypt. The village itself is close to Furness Abbey as well as the ancient market town of Ulverston, just five miles away. Ulverston boasts a street market every Thursday and Saturday, in addition to many festivals throughout the year. These include an amazing lantern procession in November and an atmospheric Dickensian weekend in early December. The town is also the birthplace of Stan Laurel, famous for his work with Oliver Hardy, and as such is home to the only museum dedicated to this double act in the world. With all the attractions of the Lake District National Park and the sandy beaches of the Furness Coast, this quiet and peaceful area has plenty to offer!

There wasn’t unless you consider a mile being direct! You could see beach from bedroom window but other than that you were surrounded by fields and a very busy road. Otherwise excellent accommodation and have already recommended to friends and family.
