Don't forget to stop by the community cheesemongers for a wedge of premium Lancashire cheese! Every Thursday, there is a street market, which offers more fun shopping opportunities. The calm Lancaster Canal runs through the heart of the community, providing a tranquil setting from which to observe passing canal boats and take in the variety of species it supports. The adjoining Millennium Green, a location on the western bank of the River Wyre, has really been designated for local activities and the conservation of wildlife. Enjoy the High Street's many pubs, cafes, and restaurants before admiring the vistas of the Bowland Hills. You can also visit Old Holly Farm and the Braedens Pony Trekking Center, which are all wonderful family-friendly attractions. While the rspb nature areas at Leighton Moss and Morecambe Bay are well worth a visit, the surrounding countryside offers fantastic walking options. This is a wonderful place to visit with the whole family because it is close to the Trough of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as the many diverse delights of Blackpool and Morecambe, the towns of Lancaster, Kirkby Lonsdale, Kendal, and Windermere, as well as the breathtaking Lake District National Park.

The accommodation was a perfect getaway in an ideal location. The apartment was very modern and clean and the hot tub was amazing. The floors have no carpets which is perfect as dog friendly accommodation as we didnât have to worry about accidental mucky dog feet as you can easily wipe them clean. It is located in a rural setting but close to motorway links to be able to do day trips out to the beach, country side walks, city visits as well as only 30-40mins from the Lakes. Everything about this place was quality and I would recommend to any couples looking for a relaxing retreat to book here.

Great Hot Tub. Local area lovely. The negatives of the Orchard are the entrance is via a gate entrance to the ownerâs house with their dogs running about (our dog is a rescue and frightened of all dogs regardless of how friendly other dogs are), the garden area was stones â not great for walking on when getting in / out of the hot tub, no seating in the garden area â towels and robes had to be put on the floor. You can bring your dog rather than dog friendly, there was nothing to welcome your four legged friend. The bed was ok but the pillows and duvet were not of good quality with the pillows very flat and uncomfortable. There was nowhere to put things, no hangers, our clothes stayed in our bag on the floor. The mirror was too high for average height people. There was a sieve which was not needed but no baking tray which was needed. There was no welcome pack with information about how to work things or about the local area. No daily H&S hot tub checks. It is next to the motorway and therefore has a constant noise. We would not recommend and would not return.
