Guests say

Cloud View Cottage is praised for its superb location, offering easy access to local walks and attractions. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, the welcoming touches such as homemade scones, and the property's suitability for families and pets. While some guests suggest updates and maintenance could enhance comfort, the overall experience is seen as good value and enjoyable.

Most guests found the cottage to be clean, with several noting it as spotless on arrival. However, there were instances where cleanliness was below expectations, including reports of unclean kitchenware and bathrooms. These issues seem to be exceptions rather than the norm.

The location is consistently lauded for its peace, beauty, and proximity to walking trails and local attractions. It is described as quiet and perfect for both relaxation and outdoor activities, contributing to a positive experience for many guests.

Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, with ample space and a child-friendly garden. However, some guests mention that the beds could be more comfortable and that the seating in the lounge is insufficient for the number of guests the cottage can accommodate.

The facilities are seen as adequate, with special mentions of the kitchen and conservatory. Nonetheless, guests have pointed out that some appliances and kitchen equipment need updating or replacing, and there have been comments about the need for more cooking utensils.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is frequently mentioned, with guests appreciating the welcome treats such as scones and chocolate cake. While these gestures are well-received, it is important to note that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed with every stay.

House is clean and warm and reasonably well furnished. Offers excellent value for money. Have stayed here several times and always had a good experience.

Great base for walking day trips and also perfect for relaxing lounge days. Loved the local pub too, within walking distance with good food and a fine selection of ales. The owner of the cottage was so friendly and helpful with any questions we had prior to arrival. Will definitely be back in the future!
