The Catlow is a well-appointed cottage in the tranquil village of Parwich, praised for its high standard refurbishment, comfort, and excellent location for walks and local attractions. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful welcome basket. The enclosed garden is a hit with pet owners, and the local pub offers good food and a friendly atmosphere. Despite a few minor cleanliness issues, the property is generally well-received for its peaceful setting and homely feel.
Most guests found The Catlow to be extremely clean and tidy, with high-quality furnishings. However, one review mentioned the presence of pet hair and a lack of cleaning equipment, slightly affecting the overall cleanliness perception.
The location is highly praised for its quiet, secluded setting in a beautiful village, with easy access to local walks, pubs, and attractions in the southern Peak District, making it an ideal base for exploring.
Guests consistently report that the property is comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen, generous living space, and a cosy atmosphere, contributing to a restful and enjoyable stay.
The Catlow is commended for its facilities, including a well-stocked kitchen and garden. However, one review noted issues with the cooker extractor, windows, and an overpowering smell from the heater, suggesting some room for improvement in maintenance.
The welcome basket and provision of coffee pods, a high chair, and a travel cot were appreciated personal touches that enhanced the guest experience. While these gestures are warmly mentioned, it's important to note that such extras are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.
