Port Side in Yarmouth is a well-loved apartment praised for its superb beachside location and welcoming atmosphere. Guests frequently mention the stunning sea views, the convenience for dog owners, and the proximity to local attractions. The property is described as clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a friendly owner and a charming cafe next door. While some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvements are noted, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests returning and recommending the property.
The apartment generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with most guests finding it clean and tidy. However, a few guests noted areas that required attention, such as cobwebs, dust, and a bathroom sink with a tide mark. These isolated comments suggest room for improvement, but the overall impression remains good.
The location is consistently praised as perfect, with direct beach access and proximity to Yarmouth. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting and the convenience for exploring the Isle of Wight. The stunning views and ease of access to local amenities contribute to a high rating in this category.
Comfort receives a good score, with many guests finding the apartment cosy and the beds comfortable. However, there are several mentions of an uncomfortable bed and a small TV, which suggests that while the majority of guests are satisfied, there is room for improvement in this area.
Facilities are generally seen as adequate, with the apartment described as well-equipped. Nonetheless, guests have pointed out issues such as a small TV, weak WiFi, and non-working items like a fridge light and rechargeable torch. These comments indicate that while the facilities meet basic needs, maintenance could be enhanced.
There is insufficient information to score thoughtfulness accurately. While a couple of guests suggested that small touches like a pint of milk on arrival would be appreciated, there is no consistent mention of gifts or special touches provided by the host, and thus the score is set to null.

Youâre so close to the sea, it was perfect! The property its self is basic, but had everything we needed as a base to explore the island, the bed was comfy and all electrical items worked well. Not a negative at all for us, but I feel it should be mentioned for future guests, the books, games/ dvds mentioned in the description, there were none, not a problem for us. The TV is the size of a postage stamp, again not a problem with that magnificent view behind it! And we didnât realise we needed to bring our own towels, a quick trip to Asda was needed on our way, as we were told this by the owner when calling about key collection, again no problem, all minor things for us! We would most definitely book again!

Great location with the beach outside door

A bistro set of table and chairs for taking outdoors would also be lovely, as we went with our family who stayed upstairs and we enjoyed sitting outside together. We had brought our outdoor chairs but had to bring the dining chairs outside as well to accommodate everyone. Please note in the info, or on a sign, that the hot water is extremely hot! A loose net curtain with a weighted hem, fixed up over the door, would also be helpful, as we had a bit of a problem with mosquitoes getting in and biting us at night. Other than these suggestions, the bed was very comfortable, the place was nice and clean and the setting was delightful. We would certainly consider coming again.
