Guests say

Patch's Place in St Ann's Chapel, Cornwall, is a well-regarded cottage with guests praising its cleanliness, great location, and the feeling of a home from home. While some guests encountered issues with maintenance and customer service, the property's cleanliness and the friendly pub on site are frequently commended.

Guests consistently note the property's cleanliness, with multiple reviews describing it as very clean. One review mentioned dated but clean facilities, reinforcing the overall positive impression.

The location is highly praised for being great, with one review highlighting the availability of wonderful walks nearby, contributing to the property's appeal.

Comfort receives a positive response, with the property described as a home from home. However, some guests mentioned issues with heating and the central heating system not warming bedrooms adequately.

Facilities are appreciated, such as the onsite shop and pub, but there are several complaints about maintenance issues like heating, wifi, and bathroom privacy. The lack of instructions for the heating system and problems with the TV also detract from the score.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Some of the previous feedback made us slightly apprehensive. It is a dated property but it has a bright lounge area the kitchen is again dated but clean and functioning. The bedrooms are good although the central heating system means they don't warm up as the thermostat is upstairs . The only thing I was not keen on is carpet in the toilet and bathroom. It would be more hygienic to have tiles or laminate. But great location lots of wonderful walks nearby and friendly people around .Thank you

One was out of action because the carpet was saturated. We phoned about this and left a message twice and no one got back to us. We went to reception and it was closed. We emailed Sykes and got no response. Not what was advertised and absolutely no customer service or support. Absolutely shocking.

We would never stay at this property again. You did not inform us that both bathrooms were overlooking storage room that cleaners use daily there was no privacy made us very uncomfortable ! You also double booked property after first week we had guy trying to open key safe at 9pm Saturday night he knocked the door and was baffled that we were staying there he was moved to another property ! This is totally unacceptable ! Any people thinking of booking this property think twice if you value your privacy ! And another issue you can only have central heating on for 2 hrs at a time so when it switches off when your in bed you have to run upstairs to switch back on why was there no mention of this ? Could not use TV in double bedroom either not good enough ! Why was there no mention of these issues in the advert very misleading
