Guests say

Breakers in Newquay is highly praised for its stunning views, perfect location, and well-stocked, beautifully furnished interiors. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches and the property's proximity to the beach and local amenities, despite some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness oversights.

Most guests found the apartment to be impeccably clean, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a few guests noted instances of insufficient cleaning, such as finding hairs and crumbs, which slightly impacted the overall high standards experienced by others.

The location is consistently lauded for its proximity to Fistral Beach, local restaurants, and shops. The stunning views from the property are a highlight, making it an ideal base for exploring Newquay and creating memorable experiences.

Guests report a high level of comfort, with special mentions of the cozy mezzanine and comfortable beds. Some guests, however, found the sofa and outdoor furniture less comfortable, suggesting room for improvement in seating arrangements.

The apartment is praised for being well-equipped with quality appliances and home comforts. Nonetheless, there are comments about maintenance issues such as stiff doors, non-working lights, and a washer/dryer that could be improved, indicating some attention to detail is required.

Many guests felt the apartment offered thoughtful touches, such as a welcome pack and high-quality furnishings. While gifts like scones and clotted cream were appreciated, it should be noted that such offerings are subject to change and not guaranteed for every stay.

I have been coming to newqusy for over 30 years, but this is the first time i have felt the need to do a review like this. The good points. The Appartment was lovely, clean and comfy, and the welcome cream tea was a lovely touch. The view over the bay and upto the headland was also amazing. Now for the niggly points, However just a couple of cosmetic bits could do with looking at, eg the veranda could do with a touch of paint and a clean up. And upholstery could do with a clean. As some staining on it. Now the bad points. Upon arrival there was a horrendous smell which i reported straight away, and patio door handle was loose. However it took almost a week for maintenance to come out. So in meantime we had to keep having all windows n patio door open to air it out and buy airfresheners to help difusse the smell. I believe it turned out to be a drain issue. I work for a well known holiday company and if any issues like this are reported its dealt with straight away. So for this fact thats why i rated it as i have. The fact the lift was out of service the whole 2 week was inconvenient to. The whole 2 week there we noticed there was no daily cleaner to clean the hallways, no fire alarm practice and no notices to state the fact of alarm tests. Also warning tape on the stairs and someone keeping their bike locked up on the 1st floor landing, meant having to be carefull as we walked past. No light in the hall by the keysafes and postboxes and anyone could walk into the building as tho internal door had a lock and key if you pulled the door both doors would open. We saw many of residents do this. Again, prior places i have stayed issues like this are dealt with straight away. There was also someone in the apartments nearby us who regularly smoked weed so because of the sea breeze we regularly smelt it. Overall, we had a lovely holiday, even though weather was allover the place, but you cant help the british weather. I just feel what we paid for the holiday was a little over the top concidering we usually hire another apartment nearby which is still a 3 bed but alot bigger, newer, cheaper, mid holiday bedding change, building cleaners, h&s tests and still sea views. A mid break change of bedding and towels would be an idea for anyone staying 2 weeks or more. As it stands, would i book again probably not. If building issues were addressed, maybe.

The apartment as everything you possibly need for your stay. The views are amazing. Everything is local, just a 5min walk to town. Love this apartment, already booked for next year!

Lots of bars, restaurants and shops on your doorstep. The apartment has everything you’d need for a family beach holiday. Also need to mention the views from the balcony which were amazing and we enjoyed seal-spotting with our binoculars from the mezzanine snug (note that the telescope in the photos wasn’t in use - luckily we took our own bins). Recommend the sea shanty’s at the Fistral beach bar!!
