About this property

Keepers Cottage, a traditional fisherman’s cottage nestled in the village of Mevagissey in Cornwall.

Set over three floors, this quaint, two-bedroom cottage is perfect for small families, groups of friends, or couples looking for a relaxing and adventure-filled getaway in Cornwall.

Step into the cottage to find a living/dining room with cushy, pillow-filled sofas and a woodburning stove to cuddle up by as you watch TV. In the well-equipped, compact kitchen you’ll be able to showcase your skills as a chef and enjoy meals together as a family around the dining table. Climb the stairs to the first floor, where you’ll find a double bedroom and a shower room, then up to the second floor to find a nicely-decorated twin room. After a night’s rest, make sure to wake up bright and early to watch the sunrise from the front courtyard with a steaming cup of tea, an ideal start to a fun-filled day!

In the wonderful harbourside village of Mevagissey you’ll find no shortage of amenities such as The Sharksfin and Harbour Tavern, both waterfront pubs offering a vast selection of seafood options and harbour views. For a taste of local delicacies, pick up some pastries at The Cornish Bakery for breakfast. A short drive away you’ll find the beautiful coastal village of Pentewan where you can visit the stunning The Lost Gardens of Heligan with its 200 acres of lush grounds, wildlife and Victorian gardens, nature-lovers can hike across the plains of Pentewan Hill and absorb the breathtaking views, and if you’re travelling in the summer end the day cooling off by the water at Pentewan Beach. Head down to Truro, an enchanting cathedral city where you can be sure to get a taste of Cornwall’s history at the Royal Cornwall Museum, roam around the Victorian Gothic Truro Cathedral, and take pretty pictures at the Lander Monument.

Keepers Cottage makes a great base, promising a relaxing holiday in Cornwall.

The perfect Cornish fishing village, with winding cobbled streets and a picturesque harbour full of boats. Stunning walks lead along the coast in both directions, with sandy beaches, high cliffs and hidden coves to explore. The village has an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants, whilst just up the road are the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey also runs daily between Easter and September. Spend some time at the Tall Ships harbour at Charlestown (7 miles) with its shipwreck museum, or among the tropical biomes of the world-famous Eden Project (11 miles). The stunning coastline, fabulous beaches and renowned gardens of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula are a short drive down the coast while Truro, with its shops, restaurants, theatre and cathedral can be reached by car in half an hour.

.Comfortable sofa & chairs.Love the pink smeg fridge & well equipped kitchen. The hob was very dirty with baked on food.So I found rubber gloves & lots of cleaning materials & sorted it .We only used the hob & microwave as we ate out mainly..Bathroom states walk in shower, unfortunately it's approx 8 inches high.We did find a child's step,& I made do with that. The rubbish system.changed in January..Hence in the courtyard there were lots of bags of smelly rubbish. Hubby found a leaflet & chatted to locals, sorted rubbish to be taken ..Locals state holiday lets now need their own rubbish collection sorting with the CCouncil. Only the large bed had mattress covers, not the twin beds upstairs. However it's a beautiful cottage in a delightful location.
