Guests say

The Linney in St. Austell, Cornwall, is a well-regarded holiday cottage praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches like a welcome pack. It serves as an excellent base for exploring local attractions, though some guests noted the need for a second bathroom and additional kitchen utilities for larger groups.

Guests consistently noted the property's immaculate condition, highlighting its cleanliness and well-maintained appearance.

The property is appreciated for its proximity to local attractions like the Eden Project, though some guests mentioned the necessity of driving and the lack of shops within walking distance.

The Linney is described as comfortable and well-furnished, with comfortable beds and a cosy lounge area, although a suggestion was made for better window blinds.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a new shower and outdoor spaces. However, comments about the kitchen size, lack of a second bathroom, and a temporarily unavailable second washing machine suggest room for improvement.

Guests were delighted by thoughtful gestures such as a welcome pack with essentials and treats. However, it should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Not to many eating establishments near by, Polegooth Inn very good but 25 minutes drive away.

We found parking rather expensive on our travels, but that’s tourism for you. All in all a well recommended vacation property. Note, a fridge light/bulb would have been nice.

Lovely and bright and clean. Some small details as were a family of six with three growing hungry teenagers! The kitchen is a little smaller than it looks in the photos and some larger saucepans and utilities for 6 could be added. Missed a wooden spoon and a few things like that with no dishwasher a few more tea towels and cleaning sponges etc. There's not space for food storage so maybe one extra unit somewhere. Small points, as not everyone is feeding for six. We do think the blinds weren't effective on the old style veluxes and a long term investment might be to upgrade these windows with proper velux blinds. There was only one washing machine on the go in the laundry room and not two but looks like there had been a flood so maybe that is being addressed. Other than that it was all great and we enjoyed the outdoor spaces, the new shower was brilliant and needed, the beds were super comfortable with lovely clean linen etc. I also wanted to bring the sofa home! Thanks again, The Denwoods.
