Charlestown 7 miles. Resting on the outskirts of St Austell, Cornwall in a restored, historical building is this fantastic property, Water Wheels. Just over 5 miles from the centre of St Austell and 7 miles from the harbour village of Charlestown and the beautiful beach at Carlyon Bay. Due to the location it is a perfect spot for exploring the whole of Cornwall. The perfect dwelling for a family of six, Water Wheels offers ground-floor bedrooms, along with access to fascinating nearby attractions and coastal delights. You will be met by ample off-road parking on arrival, where you can leave your car before heading inside the wonderful abode. The kitchen/diner offers all the essential appliances, including an electric cooker and four-slice toaster, needed to make nourishing meals for all to enjoy at the adjacent dining table. The lower-ground-floor living room offers a table seating six, for those family board games, along with a large corner sofa, Smart TV and electric log effect fire; making for an ideal space for socialising and relaxation! The shower room is also on this floor. When night falls, climb the stairs to choose between three fabulous bedrooms to rest in, with the first one being a super-king-size, another being a twin, and lastly, a twin consisting of zip/link beds which can be turned into a super-king-size to coincide with your sleeping arrangements. The bedrooms all enjoy access to the family bathroom, where relaxing soaks amidst the bath's bubbles can be enjoyed after a day packed with sightseeing. To the rear of the property is a private patio, so you can really soak up your peaceful surroundings over a steaming cup of morning coffee or an alfresco lunch. Roche and neighbouring Lanivet both have a modest range of shops and pubs and are located a short distance from Bodmin, close off the A30. Agriculture is the main industry in the area, and the terrain is lush, green, and undulating. With the wide open areas of Bodmin Moor just six miles away and the ruggedly gorgeous north coast with its rocky coves, steep cliffs, and superb surfing beaches just thirty minutes by vehicle, it's ideal for seeing the rest of Cornwall.

    Vegetation at the rear could be maybe cut down a bit to give more sunlight in the lower ground floor. The TV was a complicated to ensure you got the right channels and it was dissapointing that Netflix and ITV X werent accessible easliy in its own right for the premises as we have found in other venues. However all in all this was a good accomodation. One last thing is that the entrance from the road needs attention as there is a very bad trough in the surface that is not got for the vehicles that enter akin to hitting a pothole.

    Accommodation was wonderful, spacious, spotlessly clean. The little extras like biscuits board games etc were a lovely touch. Only issue we had was there was no cot left, however after a quick phonecall this was sorted in no time. Great location for anyone wanting to see the sights of Cornwall. We have visited Cornwall numerous time previously and water wheels has been our favourite Accommodation to stay at. Would definitely recommend and we hope to return again in the future!!
