About this property

Cosy and quaint to the core with rooftops views across the stunning surrounding rural landscape, escape to the country at this 17th-century granite-built Cornish cottage nestled on the edge of Bodmin Moor with miles of breathtaking walks with wildlife aplenty around North Cornwall on your doorstep.

The roaring electric log effect fire, feature fireplace with exposed stonework, exposed ceiling beams and cosy contemporary touches in the lounge create a warm, homely atmosphere that beckons you to unwind on the comfy sofa in front of the Smart TV as four-legged friends curl up at your feet. As the evening draws in, head into the adjoining kitchen to rustle up a hearty locally sourced feast to feed to the crowd seated at the breakfast bar or around the rustic dining table in the dining room that’s bursting with sophistication and more exposed ceiling beams. Head upstairs to admire panoramic views over the rooftops across the surrounding open countryside before retiring to any of the three beautifully furnished bedrooms for a well-earned rest. Enjoy dining alfresco long into the evening in the enclosed patio bordered by beautiful bedding plants or in the south-facing suntrap garden.

The charming village of St Breward is home to Cornwall’s tallest church, a plethora of wildlife and the starting point of the iconic Camel Trail, a traffic-free disused railway line between Wenfordbridge, Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow, perfect for keen walkers and cyclists. Lying on the edge of Bodmin Moor, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, explore miles of heather-clad moorland and remote footpaths to be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views. Head to the coast to reach the idyllic village of Padstow 17.5 miles away to sample some of the best local produce this area has to offer from its excellent selection of independent cafes and restaurants.
