About this property

Nestled in the idyllic coastal village of Beer in Devon is the wonderful Daisy Cottage. This beautiful, white-washed cottage benefits from a fabulous location, paces away from the village centre which boasts a good selection of pubs, restaurants and galleries. The perfect setting for families or friends, the cottage has a thoughtfully appointed and stylish interior with feature wood burning stove and a pretty south facing garden with patio and seating areas.

Cross the threshold into the homely sitting room where the warmth of the crackling woodburning stove greets you; warm your feet here and flick on the TV while the designated chef makes themselves at home in the fully-equipped kitchen. Sample their culinary creation around the dining table or if weather permits, set outside to savour the meal alfresco as the sun goes down over the village. The cottage has three bedrooms; choose from a double, a twin or a single, which share a family shower room.

On sunny days take a leisurely stroll down to the beach where you can soak up the sun, enjoy a bite to eat and sit while sitting and watching the fishing boats come and go. Venture to the historic and unique Beer Quarry Caves where you can immerse yourself in the past with a journey through the 200-year-old, man-made, vaulted caves. For avid walkers, the South West coastal Footpath offers breath-taking views of the rugged Jurassic coastline and takes you to interesting villages such as Branscombe. Jump in the car and visit the nearby seaside town of Lyme Regis with its sandy beach and famous Cobb harbour or learn about the areas rich fossil history at the Lyme Regis Museum.

Beer, a lovely fishing village on the coast of south Devon not far from Seaton, is a must-visit. The shingle beach is well protected by the limestone cliffs on three sides, making it an ideal place to smuggle goods in the past. Beer is a small village in Devon, England, with winding alleys lined with magnificent stone buildings and cottages carved at varying elevations into the steep valley sides. The village is located on the Jurassic Coast, a unesco World Heritage Site. Beer has a variety of stores, cafes, restaurants, and bars to choose from, and the nearby Pecorama Gardens, set on a hill above Lyme Bay, are a popular attraction. The Beer Heights Light Railway, an indoor model railway show, and a children's play area may all be found at Pecorama. Beer, a little fishing village in Devon, is an excellent holiday destination.

Very highly appointed and beautiful accommodation and just the perfect location with lovely views. The only two small points I just wanted to mention were that when we arrived in the sunshine, we sat in the very pretty little garden but the sink at the side on the patio next to the bench was full of green floating slime which really spoilt the moment! If the sink was just planted up to make a feature it would be so much better. Also lastly, when we booked, I noted the elevated position in the description of the cottage but I do feel that it should mention the steepness to get to the cottage from Beer village as we were on an all ages family holiday and it was a very steep climb for my mum so I just think this would be helpful information for anyone else looking to visit. Having said all this we would love to re-visit in the future - thank you!

We came for 3 nights as a family of 5 and booked last minute as we wanted to elongate our week long holiday up the road in Lyme Regis. It was small for us with 3 older children but has everything you need, well equipped and clean and is a perfect base to explore the village and surrounding area. We loved the welcome goodies. We found the complimentary dishwasher tablets, hand soap and cleaning products all very useful. The cottage has a mixture of rustic and modern furnishings but is in keeping with its charm. It’s in a pretty row of cottages built into the hill with a little pathway leading to them from the main road which is a steep hill but a very short walk to the flat road of the village. Parking is a bit tricky but we managed to use the short stay spaces just next to the entrance pathway to load and unload our suitcases and used the car park in the village with the permit for the rest of the time. We had a lovely 3 day stay at Daisy Cottage and Beer is a well kept, peaceful and pretty fishing village that we really enjoyed visiting.

Also no hair dryer. Overall a nice place which is not very accessable, parking is only in a car park 10 mins walk away.
