This spacious Devon cottage is set completely over the ground floor and hosts a delightful bedroom, a wonderful kitchen and a large living room with dining area, leading to a patio area, by a pond. This tranquil spot is perfect for soaking up the sunshine, relaxing and enjoying the spectacular views and sound of birdsong. In the quaint village of Plymtree you can find a pub within a short walk for a quiet drink after a day exploring Devon, with plenty more good pubs serving great locally-produced food within two miles. There is also a community shop and the historic church, dating back to the 14th century. Honiton is an easy drive away, renowned for a host of interesting antique galleries; perfect for a day of browsing and bargain hunting. There are many wonderful walks around Honiton, the Blackdown Hills, Exmoor and the east Devon coast is just half an hour's drive from the cottage, providing fabulous places to spend the day at Sidmouth and Branscombe beaches. A short drive away are plenty of market towns and country walks and of course, the wonderful Jurrassic Coast, making it the perfect destination for a relaxing break, exploring Devon.

The views are great over across the back garden out onto the valley. Everywhere was clean within the property, couldn't fault the place.

The Lodge was Spotless. There was a great Welcome by our Hosts Tony and Marilyn. Including Goodies upon our arrival. We visited 2 National Trust' within local area - Very nice. Also a must - Is the Museum at Honiton - Well worth a visit. Community Shop is Well Stocked. Blacksmith Arms serves Excellent Food. We hope to return for a 2nd visit. Very clean and comfortable with good facilities provided. Also, recommend eating at The Blacksmiths Arms, 5 mins walk away. Very good food and friendly atmosphere.
