Guests appreciate the welcoming touches like cream teas and treats for children and pets. The location is praised for its proximity to local amenities, beaches, and coastal paths. While some guests mention issues with heating, cleanliness, and maintenance, the overall experience is positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Reviews indicate a mix of experiences regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the cottage clean and comfortable, while others noted it could benefit from a deeper clean, particularly in less frequently tended areas. The presence of dust and a musty smell were mentioned, suggesting room for improvement.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its convenience to local pubs, shops, and beaches. The proximity to the coastal path and scenic views add to its appeal. However, the nearby church bell chiming every quarter hour was a concern for some guests.

Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, with a cosy log burner and snug area. The beds are described as blissfully comfortable, but some guests reported issues with heating and the impact of low ceilings on taller individuals.

Facilities are well-received with essential appliances available. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a broken tap, dampness, and a lack of heating at times. The absence of outdoor seating and limited food storage space were also noted.

The thoughtful gestures of cream teas, dog treats, and sweets for children on arrival are warmly mentioned by guests, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

It was clean, cosy and pleasantly warm. We particularly liked the snug upstairs living room as it was lovely and light, great for reading a book after you had been out all day. It was easy to find on road parking just behind the house. The house was well stocked with appropriate equipment. Blackpool Sands beach was an easy 10-15 minute walk down the lane between the cottage and church. We did this a few times especially in the evening and ate our tea down there on the beach twice. Would definitely stay again if we were visiting this area and would recommend it to others

Green dragon pub on your doorstep which was fabulous. Small walk to the beach, short drive to coves and other beaches. I can honestly say we had a wonderful week. Beds are very very comfy. I’m 6 ft 4 so sometimes I banged my head but this is a small, old gorgeous cottage. Set in idyllic location. I will use again.

Some of the basics that you would expect such as spare bin liner and toilet rolls for the duration of the stay weren’t provided. No recycling facility was in place. The living room has a musty smell. The room and sofas could do with a deep cleaning. The beds are comfortable nonetheless.
