Tamar Barn is a charming and rustic holiday rental with a hot tub and secure garden, ideal for dog owners. It offers a comfortable stay with a well-equipped kitchen and is centrally located for exploring Devon and Cornwall. Guests have found it to be a peaceful retreat with thoughtful touches, despite some noting the need for maintenance and deep cleaning.
Reviews indicate a mix of experiences regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the property exceptionally clean, while others noted areas that required more thorough cleaning, such as cobwebs and dusty surfaces. The kitchen and towels were generally found to be clean.
The location is appreciated for its central position for exploring the area and its proximity to walking trails. However, some guests mentioned the property is on a busy road, which can be noisy and makes the driveway challenging to navigate.
Guests have praised the comfort of the property, mentioning the efficient wood burner, comfortable sofas, and beds. The enclosed garden adds to the comfort for those with pets. However, some guests suggested improvements to the heating system and shower facilities.
Facilities such as the hot tub and well-stocked kitchen are highlights for many guests. Some maintenance issues were raised, including the need for more logs for the wood burner and minor repairs. The property's facilities are generally well-received but could benefit from some updates.
While some guests mentioned receiving thoughtful gestures such as bubbles and cake, there is not enough consistent information across reviews to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed and may vary per stay.

Some places provide poly cotton which are awful. The big television with good entertainment was much appreciated especially as the weather wasnât good. The under floor heating was wonderful and the bath was a treat as we only have a shower at home. We will stay there again.

Great location, had all we needed. As we celebrated our honeymoon owner left us some bubbles and cake which was so kind. We visited many locations in Cornwall and Devon and coming home to the hot tub and log burner was fabulous.
