About this property

Treat yourself to a relaxing break near the sea on the edge the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in this special cottage that oozes elegance. The pretty garden with shrubs and flowers is perfect for dining alfresco with your family or group of friends – plus Fido will love the outside space. The most impressive room is the open-plan diner/sunroom which has bi-folding doors that open up onto the garden. In the daytime, you can explore the surrounding quaint villages, expansive beaches and tranquil nature reserves.

Step inside and find yourself in the comfortable lounge with warm colours and a hint of a coastal theme plus a wood burner for colder evenings. Continue into the open-plan living space to find a French country-style dining table with seating for six beside the large sunroom with more seating and bi-folding doors. The neutral-toned country-style galley kitchen boasts wooden worktops and plenty of space for preparing a meal. Completing the ground floor is a small double plus a family bathroom. Upstairs is another family bathroom plus three bedrooms – two king-size and a single with a pull-out trundle bed. Outside is an enclosed south-facing garden with a lawn, patio, BBQ and furniture.

The small countryside village of Westleton is home to a tea room, pub and an adventure playground for the little ones (within 0.5 miles). Just 1 mile away is the edge of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where you can stroll around the Westleton Heath National Nature Reserve (1 mile). Pamper yourself at the nearby spa (2 miles) or take Fido for a swim at the dog-friendly, sand and shingle Dunwich Beach (3 miles). A lovely house to stay in a great location, wish it had been sunny when we were there and not during a storm. We stayed warm and merry though. (note for others: wifi code only seemed to work for us when scanning the QR code from router, entering the password didn't work)

Comfortable, well equipped cottage in a beautiful garden with access straight into westleton common. The owners provide many extras including a generous welcome pack and are available to help should the need arise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

There were 6 adults in out party we found the cottage comfortable and easily accessible, my elderly mum can't walk very far, the little walk down/up the small sloped road was a challenge for her. But everything else was easy to access.
