Guests say

Ferry Cottage offers a tranquil, rural retreat with charming surroundings and wildlife. Guests appreciate the peacefulness, comfortable beds, and the cottage's rustic character. The property's remote location is ideal for those seeking solitude and proximity to nature, with opportunities for countryside walks and observing farm animals.

The majority of guests found the cottage clean and tidy, with clean bed linen and towels provided. However, some noted issues with flies in the kitchen and occasional cleanliness oversights, which slightly impacted the overall perception.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its rural charm, quietness, and proximity to nature and walking paths. It is ideal for guests looking for a peaceful getaway, although the remote setting requires a drive for amenities and may not suit everyone.

Guests generally found the beds comfortable and the central heating effective. The cottage's cosy atmosphere was appreciated, especially with the wood burner during colder months. Some guests mentioned the need for minor repairs and updates to enhance comfort further.

Facilities such as the shower and kitchen were found to be adequate by most, but there were comments about the need for more kitchen equipment and maintenance issues like blocked drains and decorating needs. The presence of a wood burner and central heating was positively noted.

While some guests mentioned the lack of welcoming touches such as bread, milk, or biscuits, and the absence of a visitor's book, these were not consistent across reviews. As such, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness based on the available information.

A rustic farm cottage in a peaceful, rural location, but still easy to get to surrounding towns and villages by car. Good facilities (oven, shower, TV, WiFi etc. all seemed fairly new). We were even treated to a tour round the farm to meet some of the animals, which was a great experience for the whole family, ranging from 6 to 74yrs!

We found it under Remote Cottages, and it's exactly that. You can get to lots of touristy places by car if you want to, but the lovely thing about this place is no traffic, no noise, you're in the middle of the countryside and the peace is amazing. You won't find a single plastic plant or inspirational message on the walls, just a solid country cottage, which is what we like

The location was nice but the Cottage was so run down the front door didn’t lock properly, the stair carpet had all stains,it needed a new kitchen the curtains and cushions were dirty. I would like a refund as the cottage wasn’t upto standard. It’s cheeky what you charge for this property when it’s in bad state.
