Sailor's Retreat is a well-regarded property, praised for its high-quality accommodation, spaciousness, and well-equipped facilities. The garden is appreciated, and its proximity to Southwold and beaches is a plus. A welcome pack is mentioned, adding a touch of thoughtfulness. Some minor issues were noted, but overall, guests recommend the property.
Most reviews do not mention cleanliness issues, suggesting satisfaction, but one detailed negative account of inadequate cleaning lowers the score. The property seems generally well-kept, but the mentioned oversight impacts the overall impression.
The location is frequently praised for being within walking distance of Southwold and close to beaches. Despite one mention of a busy road, the positive comments about the location's convenience and attractiveness prevail.
Guests find the property comfortable, with special mentions of comfortable beds and spacious living areas. The property caters well to groups and families, contributing to a comfortable stay.
The property is consistently described as well-equipped and of a high standard, with a great garden and ample parking. However, a few maintenance issues, such as a problematic loft hatch and a smell in the bathroom, slightly detract from the score.
While a welcome pack is mentioned positively, there are not enough reviews discussing thoughtfulness-related aspects to provide a comprehensive score. It should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and not guaranteed.

The property is perfect for a family holiday with a range of ages as it is all on one level. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms and there is a great living room space plus large kitchen diner space. Lovely garden if you stay in spring or summer. Easy walk into southwold and lots of places of interest within 30 minutes drive.

A gorgeous house that we all wanted to live in permanently!!! Absolutely perfect for 7 adults. The large lounge had ample sofas, the kitchen dining area was very modern and had everything we needed. Everyone said the beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The garden is lovely, though we didn’t use it due to cold wet weather in October. Secure parking on the ample driveway was welcomed, especially as there was road works outside the property ( no noise from this though). The house is about a mile from the centre of Southwold and an easy walk, as is the beach. Super location. Very quiet at night. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Sailor’s retreat. A couple of suggestions would be to have a couple of dishwasher tablets provided. Also to sort out the smell from the Jack and Jill bathroom. We tried all sorts of things to combat the smell but think there may be a drainage issue. These were minor issues. This is the most stunning place I’ve stayed in and I’ve stayed in many holiday lets!
