Cheddleton 1.5 miles. This barn conversion is situated in the rural delights of Cheddleton with everything you need to enjoy a memorable stay. Boasting eight bedrooms, this retreat is perfect for all the family to come along and make the most of a charming adventure filled holiday. Children will especially love the owner's donkeys and chickens. On the ground floor you will find a utility room, close to an open plan kitchen, with an AGA cooker, a breakfast bar and dining table. Here you can prepare your favourite meals. On this floor, you will also find a super king-size double bedroom (can be a twin on request), elegantly designed with bedside tables and lamps, and a wet room with a rainfall shower. The living area is where you will want to be, relaxing on the corner sofa in front of the wood burner for a peaceful night in. Light and airy, this space is perfect for feeling right at home. The stairs from the living room lead to a twin bedroom which can be a king-size on request. A separate staircase leads to a further four bedrooms, two super king-size doubles (can be twin bedrooms on request), a triple room with bunk bed and a single bed, and a family room providing even more space for extra guests, accompanied by a classic en-suite, and benefiting from the nearby family bathroom. For those looking to plan an even bigger adventure, the adjoining Ostler's Cottage, boasts a characterful mezzanine and an open plan living area for those wishing to enjoy some peace and quiet away from the main cottage. Here you will find an additional ground floor super king-size double (can be twin on request) and an adjacent wet room with rainfall shower. The wood burner will ensure a cosy stay all year round. Outside you can rest in the wonderful hot tub or enjoy a refreshing drink in the far-reaching garden. The village of Cheddleton will make your afternoon all that more special, near to the market town of Leek, with a handful of shops, pubs serving food, a tea room and a restaurant with a coffee and waffle house. Alton Towers is less than a 30 minute drive away and throw in the mix of walks, cycle routes and rock climbing, you will be returning year after year.

The village of Cheddleton is located in the Staffordshire Moorlands, near to the market town of Leek, with shops, a Post Office, pubs and a restaurant. Visit the nearby Churnet Valley Railway, an attraction for steam enthusiasts and families alike. Nearby is Leek, surrounded by moorland countryside. The town has a cobbled market place and many examples of Victorian architecture.

    We particularly liked the fact that we senior members were able to stay in Ostlers Cottage leaving the main house to the younger members of the family. Rosie and Jon were most accommodating and unobtrusive hosts. Finally the property is set in wonderfully peaceful surroundings with lovely walks in the surrounding countryside but also close enough to easily access shops and pubs.

    Perfect for a gathering of a multi generational family- 13- 96yrs from UK and Australia. The house met all of our needs- hot tub, table tennis, log burner...even a table the right size for our jig saw! Access to short and longer walks, and a half day on the steam railway! We were catered for by Pam for one night and she was marvellous with superb skill to meet all dietary requirements. We shall remember all of this for a long time!
