Enveloped by breath-taking countryside and a short journey away from the Peak District National Park and Tittesworth reservoir which offers a range of water sports and walking trails. Highfield House offers eight guests flexible sleeping arrangements, a gated garden, and a charming interior, the property provides the ideal base for a group celebration. Park up on the private driveway before entering Highfield House, firstly reaching the homely snug, complete with a rustling woodburning stove, plush seating, and a Smart TV. Further relaxation can take place in the sitting room, featuring a large corner sofa, Smart TV, and PlayStation, before locating the well-equipped kitchen/dining, housing a range of appliances to ease your self-catered stay; you'll also find a washing machine in the utility, helping you keep on top of your holiday clothes, and a formal dining room to enjoy meals from. Come morning, begin your exploration in the local area, where you'll find a host of pubs and eateries, dotted across the canal, ahead of touring some of the surrounding beauty spots, including Ladderedge Country Park, Rudyard Lake, Cheddleton Flint Mill, and RSPB Coombes Valley. Travelling towards the popular attraction of Alton Towers, stop off at both the Peak Wildlife Park and Kingsley Bird & Falconry Centre, offering immersive experiences, perfect for animal lovers. Heading through the national park, discover an abundance of breath-taking vistas, possible to enjoy from The Roaches and Thor's Cave, before continuing to Buxton and its array of attractions, including Poole's Cavern, Buxton Museum & Art Gallery, The Pavilion Gardens, a hub of botanical blooms, and the Buxton Visitor Centre & The Buxton Crescent Experience. Experience all of this by booking Highfield House.

On the western side of The Peaks, in the heart of the beautiful Moorland scenery, is the hillside market town of Leek, also referred to as "The Queen of the Moorlands." The town's lovely cobblestone market square and numerous instances of magnificent Victorian architecture, many of which bear William Morris' influence, serve as a reminder of the prosperity the area experienced when it was known as a centre for the production of silk. Today, Leek has a large variety of stores, including enormous antique stores, as well as a considerable number of restaurants, a neighbourhood park, recreational opportunities, and real ale pubs. Leek is adjacent to Gawsworth Hall, Buxton Opera House, and Three Shires Head, where the counties of Cheshire, Derbyshire, and Staffordshire converge. It is also a short drive from Alton Towers.

Well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We stayed with our 4 daughters as part of a trip to Alton Tower's, which was only a 25 min drive, it was lovely to come back in the evening to the comfort and space of Highfield House. Thank you to Karen & Andrew for the use of their excellent property, we would love to return again.
