Guests have enjoyed their stays at The Olde Drill House, often praising its comfortable furnishings, stunning views, and excellent location near Ironbridge. The property's cleanliness and well-equipped kitchen are noted, though some minor maintenance issues are mentioned. The challenging parking and steep access may not suit everyone, but the property's charm and amenities generally leave a positive impression.
The property is generally described as spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and well-maintained rooms. However, a few guests noted areas where cleanliness could be improved, such as dusty skirting boards and spillage on the microwave.
The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, proximity to Ironbridge, and beautiful views of the gorge. The steep hill access and parking are noted as drawbacks, but these do not significantly detract from the overall positive reception of the location.
Guests find the cottage very comfortable, with special mentions of the comfortable beds and the powerful shower. Some guests experienced issues with heating control and suggested the addition of a wardrobe in the twin bedroom for added convenience.
The property is well-equipped with a kitchen, utilities, and multiple bathrooms. However, guests have pointed out several maintenance issues such as a loose handrail, the need for a shower screen, and difficulties with the key safe box. The lack of instructions for the heating system is also noted.
While guests have left positive feedback and some have expressed a desire to return, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Ironbridge Gorge is known throughout the world as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Today the area is far from industrial and nature has reclaimed most of the former industrial sites, leaving a unique and beautiful wooded valley. The gorge is a now a maze of footpaths, bridleways and country lanes whilst the delightful village is famous for being home of the world's first iron-built bridge, built between 1777-79. The village has a splendid variety of pubs, restaurants, shops and tea rooms and a collection of ten industrial and Victorian themed museums makes up the Ironbridge Museums Trust, including the exciting Blists Hill Victorian Village. Within driving distance are the popular historical towns of Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock and Ludlow, as well as the Wroxeter Roman City, the Severn valley Railway, the RAF Cosford Museum and many National Trust properties.
