Guests say

The Grange is a spacious and characterful property with modern amenities, perfect for large gatherings. It boasts a stunning kitchen-diner, two living rooms, and a huge garden, making it ideal for families and pets. The location is praised for its proximity to the coast and scenic views. Guests have enjoyed the hot tub, pool table, and the personal touches provided.

Guests generally found the property clean and tidy, but there were instances of overlooked areas, such as a mouldy banana, a pizza, and jacket potatoes left in the oven, and a smelly shower curtain. These issues suggest room for improvement in thoroughness.

The property's location is highly regarded, with its peaceful setting and short drive to the coast. The proximity to footpaths and the village of Flamborough adds to its appeal.

The property is described as comfortable, with very comfy beds and soft bedding. However, some guests mentioned a lack of bathrooms and uncomfortable beds in certain rooms, which slightly detracts from the overall comfort.

The property is well-equipped with a hot tub, pool table, and large garden. However, there were reports of maintenance issues such as a broken wardrobe, a loose staircase spindle, and insufficient hot water for the number of guests. The hot tub also had cleanliness issues.

The property is considered child-friendly with toys and other amenities for children. A welcome pack added a personal touch, although it should be noted that such gestures are not guaranteed.

The pretty village of Flamborough occupies a superb setting, perched on a picturesque peninsula on the East Coast of Yorkshire, 4 miles from Bridlington. Housing traditional fishermen's cottages and a small selection of welcoming pubs and restaurants, Flamborough also has much to offer the rambler, historian and birdwatcher. There are spectacular cliffs, which form an eight mile stretch of Heritage coastline, and at Flamborough Head, stand two historic lighthouses, one of which is the oldest one in Britain, built in 1674. To the north of the village, the magnificent 400 feet high cliffs are home to one of the largest colonies of nesting sea birds in England. However, I feel a couple of things could be addressed, a security light was pointed directly at one of the bedrooms and disturbed the nights sleep. Also I feel the garden ought to be fenced so as to let the dogs have some freedom first and last thing. Also, I think having a mid sized saucepan would be helpful, as there was either a small one or very big one, and the were no scissors, minor details, but worth a mention Maybe looking to the future an electric car charging point would be beneficial

The house is dirty and in need of a good clean. There is cobwebs everywhere and big build ups of dirt and dust. The showers are also in need of a good clean. Beds are very squeaky and uncomfortable. The spindle on the staircase fell off when we first got there it had just been propped up in place and wasn't screwed in. The hot tub was murky and had a green tint on the first day. The back door handle snapped off when a guest was going to the hot tub. The hot water is a nightmare there wasn't enough for everyone to get a wash which is not something you expect when booking a house for 15 people yet only enough hot water for 2 bath fulls. I had to contact maintenance 4 times In the 3 days we were there which again is not something you want to be doing when your on holiday. Overall not happy with the stay after paying all that money The maintenence men were very nice and sorted the issues quickly.

Garden is huge and perfect for friends or families to share. We loved the hot tub. Must say the pics don’t do it justice! Little maintenance issue that was swiftly dealt with. I hoover or at least a soft brush would be useful and it definitely needs downstairs toilet , there so much space! Lovely stay and highly recommended!
