The beds were noted as very comfortable, contributing to a good night's sleep, although one guest mentioned a personal preference for softer beds.

Facilities are generally well-received with a well-equipped kitchen and lovely lounge area. However, points were deducted for minor issues like a broken can opener, slow-draining shower, and a toaster needing repair.

A pint of milk in the fridge on arrival would be a welcome addition, after a delayed and arduous train and bus journey it would have been good to have a cup of tea before setting off to the shops. The fridge needed defrosting, we couldn't open the ice box at all. That said, we enjoyed the quiet position of the cottage and our stay there.

Only one minor problem, which I'm sure will be sorted, the toilet sometimes needed to be pumped to flush properly. Apart from that the cottage is close to shops, take aways and pubs, literally seconds away.

Very quiet in the evening even though your so close to everything, car parks and supermarket just short walk away
