It is quite large with very high ceilings. That caused a few problems for my wife who has a hearing problem. It had a very well equipped kitchen area, everything that was needed was there. However the kettle dribbled when pouring the boiling water. A replacement would be helpful. The only issue was the twin sinks, they were very deep. An upgrade would really improve things. The instructions for the controls of the heating were a bit confusing and took a bit of getting used to. The heating times were not visible on the controller. The heating for the living/kitchen area was on each morning but that for the bedroom zone was not. Even with the high ceiling the living area was usually nice and warm. We only lit the woodburner a couple of times as we felt it was not necessary. Unfortunately the seating was not great, quite low and not that comfortable. The bathroom of the end bedroom could do with an upgrade as things are getting a bit tired, every thing worked properly the decor, etc, just needs some attention. I am very familiar with the area but I found the directions to the property hard to follow, this was quickly resolved when I spoke to Lucinda on the phone. They need to be re-written. It has a lot of potential if it could be upgraded a bit. It is situated in a lovely area and there are some nice eateries not far away.

It has all the facilities one could need. The village is very close by and is quiet but has the shops needed for a short stay. Gortin Glen Forest Park is a great place for a walk and is close to the property.
