The royal burgh and parish of Fife is a farming community on the River Tay, overlooking the swampy Mugdrum Island, where salmon fishing is popular. The ancient Lindores Abbey, located to the east, is a mediaeval and overgrown ruin that has yet to be discovered. The Lindores Abbey Distillery for whisky aficionados, the National Trust's Balmerino Abbey with its dramatic 13th-century ruins, and the Backhouse Rossie Estate, an RHS Partner Garden with rare flora, woodland trekking, and children's trails are just a few of the neighbouring attractions. The Tentsmuir National Nature Reserve in Morton Lochs has something for everyone, with a constantly changing panorama that includes seals hauling themselves out of the water, hungry birds looking for food, and a diverse array of natural treasures. The remains of Macduff's Cross, the Newburgh Sailing Club, and the Laing Museum, which houses antiquarian antiquities from Newburgh's Alexander Laing, are among the many attractions that lure people to the community of Newburgh. This lovely spot is ideal for guests looking for a relaxing holiday in the Fife countryside.

The property was a little tricky to heat - it would be helpful to have a timer for the heating for example for the mornings when I didn't wish to use the wood burning stove. A couple of items would be helpful for food prep - mixing bowl and colander. The onstreet parking was definitely not 'easy' to find, suggest that it isn't described that way. The parking was very busy and I often had to park at a distance. I didn't mind a walk to the property but other guests may find it an issue. I could clearly hear other people talking in neighbouring properties from the lounge. It was lovely property and I enjoyed my stay there.

Only drawback was the stairs up to the property. Highly recommend the Tasty Wok.

Our only concern was the parking. It was not easy to park at any time ; the owner stated parking was easy on street which it definitely was not.
