Grantown-on-Spey, 10 minutes' walk from this Scotland cottage, has a good selection of shops and restaurants, whilst the surrounding countryside boasts an array of cycling, walking and wildlife spotting opportunities and, of course, fishing on the beautiful River Spey. With numerous outdoor activities within easy driving distance, such as great golf, tennis and seasonal skiing at any of the fantastic ski centres in the area, this charming Grantown-on-Spey cottage has plenty to offer, and provides a great base from which to explore this stunning part of Scotland. Grantown-on-Spey sits in the centre of the stunning Scottish Highlands. The town offers amenities such as shops, pubs and restaurants and is an ideal location for the many activities the area offers. The area has something for everyone from fishing on the pretty River Spey, cycling, tennis and golf to Castle and Whisky attractions. Also the hills and woodlands are a haven for walkers and bird watchers. The breathtaking Cairngorms National Park with its mountains, rivers and moorlands is essential for walks and to unwind and relax. In season, skiing takes place at the nearby Cairngorms and Lecht Ski Centres.
