Grantown-on-Spey 3.7 miles. This is a charming, self-contained, west wing of a traditional farmhouse on a working farm dating from the late 18th century, with the owners living in the adjacent wing, private from each other with shared access to the garden, and is close to Grantown-on-Spey, in the Cairngorms National Park, Scotland. This delightful cottage is ideal for a family or group of friends who will love the space and comfort that the farmhouse has to offer, and its central location in the desirable Cairngorms National Park. A private gravel driveway leads up to the house and spacious parking area and from its elevated position, guests will appreciate the far-reaching views from most of the windows, across the stunning open countryside to the surrounding mountains. The sitting room is a bright comfortable area for relaxation, and overlooks the neat lawned garden whilst the kitchen with a dining area is situated to the rear of the property and is very well-equipped and homely. There are three very comfortable bedrooms, all with lovely views, and the large lawned front garden is a simply perfect spot for some alfresco dining, weather permitting! As you can imagine, being surrounded by such fabulous scenery, the area is a haven for wildlife and very close by is the RSPB Osprey Centre at Loch Garten, which is a wonderful visitor experience for all ages. Very friendly and helpful. My 9 year old son went for a ride on the tractor and their amazing dog Roy came to play with my son nearly every morning. This was my third trip to the Highlands but my first time at this property and it is the best stay I have had to date.

We had a wonderful stay - a week in late August as a family. Ideal space for loads of activities. Any chance you could tune the piano? We would have played it even more!

A warm, friendly, well equipped home. The off-road parking with lovely grounds and views wrap this home in a truly bucolic setting. There is no distubance from the farming activities and there is just enough going on to keep you fascinated. The hosts are wonderful, friendly, charming, are clearly dedicated to providing the best experience for their guests. The rooms are huge, high ceilings with tasteful decorations and furniture. Everything is bang up to date, clean, functional and a pleasure to use. Someone here has a talent for interior decoration. The location is perfect for day filling activities, Grantown On Spey has enough shopping to ensure you will have everthing you need, Nearby Nethy Bridge, Loch Garton are well worth a visit. Castle Roy and a huge Hairy Coo bull called Murdo are just down the road. This was one of our best holidays, we will try to return. And soon.
