Guests say

Gardener's Cottage in Elgin is praised for its beautiful walled garden, peaceful and secluded setting, and as a great base for exploring Moray. Guests appreciate the well-equipped cottage, the welcoming hosts, and the child-friendly amenities. While some find the furniture a bit worn and the property slightly neglected, the overall experience is relaxing and enjoyable, with many expressing a desire to return.

The cottage is generally described as clean, with all appliances being clean and good quality. However, one review mentioned that the mattresses were not very clean when stripped, slightly lowering the score.

The location is highly praised for being peaceful, quiet, and a perfect base for exploring the local area, including beaches and golf courses. Its proximity to various attractions adds to its appeal.

While beds are described as comfortable, several reviews mention that the furniture, particularly settees and armchairs, are worn and offer little support. This impacts the comfort score negatively.

The cottage is well-equipped, and the walled garden is a highlight. However, some maintenance issues and the lack of first-floor toilet facilities have been noted, affecting the score.

There are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Needed to ring owner to say we were going to be late due to being diverted because of an accident, and was asked if we needed any provisions to help us out, which was really nice. Would definitely recommend.
