The room also benefits from a vanity unit and a wardrobe, providing ample storage for your holiday attire. The elegant bathroom, accessible from the bedroom, is a real highlight of the property. It features large, wooden shelving stocked with bath salts, slippers and robes for your use. The freestanding bath and walk-in shower offer options for both quick refreshes and indulgent soaks, while the wall-mounted mood lighting creates a soothing atmosphere for your evening wind-down, creating a spa-like experience. From your peaceful retreat, a wealth of experience awaits you. Nature lovers can set off on picturesque walks straight from the doorstep, uncovering the stunning landscapes that make the Isle of Lewis so remarkable. The nearby beaches, such as the Braighe and Bayble are within easy reach. Within an hour's drive there is a wide selection including Taigh Mor, Dalmore Beach, Port of Ness, Eoropie and Bosta Beach, providing the perfect backdrop to bask in the sun, enjoy paddleboarding, take leisurely strolls along the shoreline, or end the day with a sunset walk or with a morning dip in the sea. Discover the grandeur of Lews Castle, where you can walk or cycle around the castle grounds which give you some of the most stunning views of Stornoway. Marvel at the contemporary and traditional arts showcased in An Lanntair, or pay a visit to the Callanish Standing Stones, providing a fascinating glimpse into Scotland’s historic past. History enthusiasts should not miss the Museum & Tasglann nan Eilean, offering an insight into the Hebrides' rich cultural heritage or absorb the spirituality of St Columba's Church (Eaglais na h-Aoidhe), one of the oldest in the area. Further afield, at the tip of the Eye Peninsula, sits Tiumpan Head Lighthouse, an idyllic spot to marvel at the incredible views across the Minch to the mountains of the mainland, and north across the seemingly endless sea. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for whales, dolphins or porpoise, as this spot is considered one of the best places in the UK for whale-watching from land, and possibly Europe! Cherish these moments, secure in the knowledge that Bayview Byre awaits your return.

Stornoway is the only town in the Outer Hebrides and is a bustling and growing area with a busy working harbour, a great selection of shops selling local gifts including Harris Tweed, leisure facilities and wonderful award-winning restaurants selling locally sourced food of the highest quality. Lewis is a place where the lilting Gaelic language is spoken everywhere! Visitors to the town will find plenty to keep them occupied, the magnificent Lews Castle Grounds and the iconic Lews Castle, many good museums and art galleries and also a smart golf course and clubhouse. The large, quiet sandy beaches are close by and provide visitors with wonderful views and the town itself forms a great base for a holiday exploring the unique islands that form the Outer Hebrides. On the north west side of Lewis you can visit the village of Arnol with its Blackhouse Museum, an unmissable visit for anyone wanting to understand the way of life that was once widespread in Lewis. Carloway Broch is nearby and is another fascinating landmark and incredibly well preserved. The Callanish Stones from the Neolithic are also well worth visiting. The whalebone arch and numerous Iron Age dwellings on stunning Bosta beach make for great days out. The friendliness of the local people will astound visitors to the islands and you cannot fail to be impressed with the genteel and contented pace of life you will encounter here.
