Sea Point is a well-loved cottage praised for its superb location, comfortable furnishings, and stunning sea views. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, quality beds, and the convenience to beaches and local attractions. The property's new kitchen and outdoor space are highlights, though some guests noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance.
Guests have reported that the property was not cleaned to a high standard, with issues such as leftover food, dirty kitchen drawers, and dust. However, some guests found the property clean and comfortable, leading to a slightly above average score.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to beaches, coastal walks, and local amenities. The stunning views and quiet cul-de-sac setting contribute to a very high score, despite some views being partially obstructed by new construction.
Many guests found the property very comfortable, with high-quality beds and furnishings. The spaciousness and multiple bathrooms added to the comfort level. Some minor issues were noted, but overall, the comfort of the property was rated highly.
The property is well-appointed with a new kitchen, large TV, and quality fittings. However, some guests mentioned that certain facilities needed attention, such as a noisy cooker hood and a dishwasher tablet flap that couldn't be locked. The presence of a building site was noted but did not significantly detract from the experience.
While some guests mentioned welcome gifts such as local cake and butter, there is inconsistency in the provision of these items, and they are not guaranteed. As not all reviews reference gifts, and there is no clear indication of consistent thoughtfulness, a score cannot be provided.

Since our stay I noticed a recent review where the cleaning I raised with the owner had recently been reported, which is disappointing to read & see was unchanged. Finding stained mattress protectors whilst stripping the beds before leaving wasn't brilliant. The kitchen was nice, nice facilities however a freezer in desperate need off defrosting, made it unusable. The cleaning & maintenance issues raised and reported if dealt with would improve my review score.

Well equipped, spacious & beautifully decorated. Please consider a more forgiving carpet colour next time - I was holding my breath throughout our stay that something would spill on the white carpet!

But it hasnât been properly cleaned: there were crumbs on the kitchen table, sticky handprints on the windows, brown scum on the shower walls, and dust on the skirting boards and banisters. There was thick dust and debris behind the master bed, and a really musty smell in that room, like unwashed socks. The owner was polite and sympathetic when I called, asked me to send photos and said theyâd send the cleaners round, but no one came and I had no more contact. No hand soap was provided either, in any of the bathrooms, which felt dirty and inconvenient. All in all we had a lovely stay, but the dirtiness and the smell did spoil it a little.
