Enclosed gardens. Cottage was clean and reasonably well equipped. Lovely little balcony but sadly unable to use due to awful weather we had! ( note doors to balcony were extremely stiff and difficult to open) Could do with some storage in main bedroom, was only a small wardrobe with 2 hangers so wouldâve been better with large set of drawers and a few hooks with hangers . Was quite cold when we were staying, wouldâve been nice to have had a couple of blankets accessible. Although cottage says dog friendly, we found this particular one was no good for our dog. Steps difficult to negotiate for a dog in to garden (/only access to garden is from balcony] and he couldnât cope with narrow wooden stairs on inside as too slippery for him without carpet and as this was an â upside down houseâ he had to live in the hallway without us all week so that he could get outside again! Obviously not owners fault but something to bear in mind especially if you have a large dog , ours is a lab, went home a night early in the end. Also re. Maintenance cold tap was faulty and difficult to use in kitchen. Would be nice to put some tubs in kitchen to keep opened food fresh or to use for picnics etc. overall tho, this is a charming little place to stay and a good base for exploring the island
