Derry Cottage is a charming property with a beautiful garden, set in a tranquil location ideal for exploring South Wales. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, cosy log burner, and the warm welcome from the owner. The cottage's spaciousness and the ability to accommodate pets are also highlights. While some guests mention issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the overall experience is one of comfort and relaxation.
Cleanliness has been a concern for some guests, with reports of dog hair, a dirty kitchen, and cobwebs. However, others found the cottage clean and tidy. The mixed feedback suggests room for improvement in this area.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its tranquillity and proximity to local attractions and beaches. It serves as a peaceful retreat and a convenient base for exploring the area.
Comfort levels are generally high, with guests enjoying the cosy atmosphere and garden. Some guests found the beds too firm, but the property was otherwise considered spacious and comfortable.
Facilities are well-regarded, particularly the modern kitchen and shower. However, there are mentions of maintenance issues such as non-working Wi-Fi, lighting, and a lack of cleaning tools, which affect the score.
Guests have noted thoughtful touches like Welsh cakes, fresh flowers, and a pint of milk upon arrival. While these gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

We booked this at the start of the year and were a bit concerned about the reviews published since booking. However, these concerns were quickly dispelled upon arrival. The kitchen is lovely and bright, the garden was fab for the dogs and the situation of the cottage was great. Narberth was a real gem of a town and we went several times. We agreed with the other reviews that the TV room furniture was very uncomfortable & the TV in that room was actually rubbish, but the living room also had a TV (if thatâs what you go on holiday to do) and had a very nice leather sofa and chair and a lovely inglenook fire place which made everything very cosy so we didnât actually need to use the TV room. The cottage was warm and there was plenty of very hot water. Agree with the other reviews that yes, there were spiders and other critters but it is a country cottage.. The bed upstairs wasnât comfortable, but I still slept well. The bedroom and bathroom upstairs was pleasant enough & the wet room shower was brilliant. The owner popped over to see us who was a very pleasant gentleman and helped us out with some more logs at a very reasonable price, so no complaints there. We all agreed that we had a nice holiday, and we would go to this cottage again.

Washing line outside unusable, outside recliners falling apart, inundation of flies (particularly in bedroom upstairs), slippy tiles on bathroom floors, kitchen doors peeling in places.
William
Inside initially looked clean but found dead flies and cobwebs ,downstairs bedroom seemed clean but loads of dust underneath beds. The furniture in small room downstairs is very uncomfortable garden furniture.I could go on ,seemed uncared for and we left a day earlier than we had paid for.Things could easily be put right !!
