What our customers say about their holidays

    • Tim - Verified booking

This is the first time we, as a family, have ever booked a cottage type break away - it won't be the last.

This is a delightful cottage and far exceeded the expectations from the already wonderful pictures you see here. It is spacious with 2 sitting rooms. The main sitting room has a log burner with everything provided to get it going. I've no idea how to use one, but I gave it a go and had a nice fire going. Has a TV with all the usual channels and iplayer etc. The other sitting room is equally as nice but you may need your own firestick there if you want to watch the television. But we didn't do much telly watching - so only briefly looked. Kitchen diner is massive! All you need to cook is here. Very good quality throughout. Ensuite main bedroom. Make sure you pull the blind down (You'll see!). Bed is extremely comfy. The children reported the same from there room too! Now, the cottage is on a main road, so there is a bit of traffic noise - but to be honest its not really an issue. The boiler clicks a bit in the main bedroom when the heating comes on but again you're being uber picky if this is an issue. The outside is just lovely. You can spend hours in the hot tub, listening to tunes if you want, or the blissful sound of absolute calm. It is really secluded too so no one can see round the back. There is a lovely little welcome back - and a folder with all you need to know about the cottage and the area. A brilliant touch. As it says, everything is a bit of a drive away, but an ideal base for exploring Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Our only regret is not being able to stay a bit longer. Out two asked when we were going back. I said I didn't know - but we will be going back to this beautifully presented cottage.

If you need to escape the hustle and bustle Cambriol is the place!

The owners were extremely welcoming, tea and freshly baked welsh cakes on arrival. Plenty of clean towels and fresh bedding. No details have been left out with this property, it finished off to an excellent standard. By far the best holiday cottage I have ever stayed in. Clean, beautiful and the views from the property down into the valley are fabulous! We booked the property knowing the hot tub was housed instead of the usual cottages that have an outside hot tub. This was by far the best decision we made knowing the changes in the Welsh weather. It was worth every penny. The hot tub was lovely and warm and of the larger size too, with a shower in the hot tub house and amazing views , across the valley and hills, just perfect! Who ever visits Cambriol will not be disappointed!

This cottage is just as described.

It's cosy, has lots of space and was just perfect for our Christmas getaway. There was a Christmas tree and decorations that made it a perfect home away from home. The log fire place also added that touch of cosiness. The beds were comfortable, the duvets and pillows were all very comfy and warm too. The kitchen and dining area was so spacious, even with us all getting things ready for our Christmas dinner. The garden setting and hot tub were such bonus. It was great being able to just relax, with music on and in such an isolated area. We didn't go out and about much, but that wasn't the purpose for our getaway. We literally just wanted to chill and have fun with the family. We would love to go back and will definitely be recommending this property.

Absolutely stunning cottage, furnished beautifully and very modern.

The under floor heating is added luxury, we stayed in late January and was lovely and warm. Kitchen has everything you need, and the welsh cakes on arrival went down a treat. We lay in most mornings because the bed is so comfy, but the location is close to Carmarthen and other interesting spots so don’t need to be up at the crack of dawn. The hot tub is huge! Lovely lights and you can play your own music through the speakers via blue tooth. You have plastic glasses to enjoy nice drink there too. If it gets too hot you can open the sliding doors to an amazing view of the countryside. The owner is really lovely, available if we ever needed anything. Can’t believe the luxury we got for the price, would definitely return.

A truly delightful cottage which has been finished to a very high standard and provides very comfortable accommodation.

It was spotlessly clean and it had everything we needed for a self catering holiday and more! The location is great for enjoying the peace, quiet and seclusion this property offers whilst being ideally located for exploring this part of Wales. The hot tub is perfect as it is indoors but has french doors and patio doors that you can have open or closed to suit and the views are just glorious! My only regret is that I spent so much time in the hot tub, I didn't get to enjoy the free standing bath... next time! The hosts Helen and Ian are so welcoming and give lots of good advice about local places to visit and eat. Cambriol gets 10/10 from us and we highly recommend to others. Thank you for such a lovely holiday, we will be back :)
