Y Felin is a well-received cottage praised for its peaceful location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests enjoyed the hot tub and the property's proximity to local amenities and attractions. The open plan setup and garden views were highlights, contributing to a relaxing stay. Some minor maintenance issues were noted, but they did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.
Most guests found the cottage to be very clean, with only a few mentioning areas that could have been improved. The high standard of cleanliness contributed positively to the guests' experiences.
The location is highly praised for being peaceful and quiet, yet conveniently close to supermarkets, town centre, and local beaches. The easy access to Cardigan and surrounding attractions was appreciated by guests.
Guests found the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, especially with the log burner. The spaciousness and homely feel added to the comfort level, although a few guests mentioned issues with the toilet and sofa.
The facilities, including the hot tub, were generally well-received. However, some guests reported maintenance issues such as problems with the toilet, hot tub cleanliness, and minor wear and tear, which suggests room for improvement.
There is insufficient information to score thoughtfulness as there are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches provided by the host. Therefore, this score cannot be accurately assessed.
Just a few minutes' walk from the market town of Cardigan, this comfortable and welcoming cottage with private hot tub, is on a quiet lane. It’s ideal for exploring the two counties of Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. Cardigan has a castle and theatre as well as an excellent range of individual shops, galleries, pubs and eateries. There is a lovely wildlife park on the Teifi marshes - the river Teifi flows through Cardigan, St Dogmaels and out to the sea at Poppit Sands.
There are plenty of beaches in the area such as Mwnt, Patch, Aberporth, Tresaith and Poppit.
If you enjoy walking why not try a section of the All Wales Coast Path and maybe even spot a dolphin.
Explore Aberporth, New Quay, Aberaeron and St Davids.
The bustling market town of Cardigan in Ceredigion is set on the River Teifi and offers an array of shops, both unique local producers and larger chain stores, as well as tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and an impressive ruined castle. Surrounding Cardigan is beautiful countryside, whilst the rugged Pembrokeshire coastline is just a few miles away. You have the opportunity to visit the Cardigan Island Farm Park, wonderful Blue Flag sandy beaches like the National Trust beach Mwnt, take a boat trip to spot dolphins and seals, or horse riding at the friendly Dyfed Riding Centre. For keen cyclists take a trip on the National Cycle Route, Number 82. The nearby Preseli Mountains offer wonderful walking and cycling, with some stunning views and an ancient stone monument. Within driving distance is the town of Carmarthen, Dylan Thomas' Boat House in Laugharne, Oakwood Theme Park, Blue Lagoon indoor waterpark, Folly Farm Zoo and the Welsh Wildlife Centre at Cilgerran, as well as an array of castles, mills and craft centres. Cardigan is an excellent base for exploring this part of Wales.

Good quality fixtures and fittings, listed as 6 bed, but I would say it sleeps 4 comfortably as 2 of beds are more day beds with no curtain or blind over glass door that leads to living room. Only 1 bathroom. Lovely hot tub and enclosed garden. Disappointed no welcome pack, after a 6 hour drive all we wanted was a cuppa but no milk so had to go to Tesco for milk. A few little issue's, TV remote didn't work, so limited viewing, no oven cloth, light bulb missing in bedroom, outdoor fairy lights didn't work and outside security light also not working. Fix these and it would be 5 star. Would recommend & hope to visit again
