Guests say

Fir Tree Cottage in Criccieth is highly praised for its cleanliness, prime location with sea views, and cosy atmosphere. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the property's proximity to the beach and local amenities. While some mention a soft bed and slippery shower, the overall sentiment is positive, with many planning return visits.

The cottage consistently receives compliments for its cleanliness, with guests describing it as clean and well-maintained. There are no reports of cleanliness issues, indicating high standards are met.

The location is frequently highlighted as a strong point, with its close proximity to the beach, local shops, and eateries. The sea views and ease of access to Snowdonia add to its appeal.

While many guests find the cottage cosy and comfortable, there are several mentions of a soft bed that may not suit everyone's preference. The comfort level is generally positive, but the bed issue slightly lowers the score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the cottage being well-equipped for cooking and relaxation. However, some guests mention blunt knives and patchy Wi-Fi, suggesting room for improvement in these areas.

There are mixed comments regarding thoughtfulness. A guest suggested the addition of a welcome pack, and another appreciated a bottle of fizz, but as gifts are not consistently mentioned, it is not possible to accurately score this category.

The cottage had everything we needed. Ideally located for visiting near by places. You can see the sea out of the window’s, it’s just a short walk to the beach. lovely shops up on the high street, from cafes to fish and chips and ice cream, everything you could want. Thank for the bottle fizz much appreciated.

The beach is a literal minutes walk away and only a few minutes further into the town. I visited during one of the wettest weeks of the year and local flooding in my usual haunts meant that I could not get out as much as I normally would, but the cosy warm surroundings meant staying in wasnt a chore.
