Pendre Cottage is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and friendly owners. Guests appreciate the property's character and the peaceful, central location ideal for exploring South Wales. The new garden and decking are well-received, although the detached garden's accessibility is noted. The cottage's low ceilings add charm but require caution. Facilities meet guests' needs, with the dishwasher being a highlight. While Wi-Fi issues are mentioned, the overall experience is one of a welcoming, cosy retreat.
Guests consistently mention the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as 'very clean' and 'beautifully clean', indicating high standards of hygiene and upkeep.
The location is appreciated for its tranquillity and centrality to local attractions, though some guests note the rural roads can make travel times longer than expected.
Comfort is frequently highlighted, with guests finding the cottage warm and cosy. However, the low ceilings and beams, while adding character, may pose a challenge for taller individuals.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the dishwasher. Some guests express a desire for better Wi-Fi and a more conveniently located garden, but overall the amenities satisfy.
While the reviews reflect positively on the owners' helpfulness and hospitality, there is no specific mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

Really dog friendly, nice safe enclosed sitting area outside and my dog loved the garden area just across the road with fantastic seating area. A real home from home. Looking forward to returning.

Dishwasher was added bonus, as was the beds made up and towels provided. Slightly disappointed with the garden being over the road, although I should have read the reviews! One suggestion would be for a stair gate, to allow the front door to be open and dogs to stay in, ours aren't as well behaved as the resident dogs! Also to stop then going upstairs, also would work with small children. Over all a lovely stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. August 2024
