Located at the end of a nice quite cul de sac is this lovely bungalow with gated private driveway.

Really easy to find. The garden at the front is fully secure to ensure pets cannot get out. There is also a gate by the garage in the front garden that leads to a footpath that will take you into town. The rear garden is nice and private with benches and seating, please note that there is a stream that litteraly runs along side the garden and bungalow with a steep drop down to it, bare this in mind if travelling with small toddlers, however if your pets love the water then this will be ideal for them as you can get access to it further down the garden. The bungalow itself was nice and spacious, evrey room was huge, the fact that the kitchen, dining area and living are in a u shape config was a bonus. The living room tv has full sky + HD with most, if not all the channels including the movie channels, also has Netflix. The kitchen has evreything you need, Washing machine was useful after getting muddy on the walks. There is also a heated clothes dryer in the cupboard. The shower was nice and powerful and spacious. The bedrooms are large with plenty of cupboard storage. The mattresses are quite hard on both the double and single beds although this wasn't a problem for us. I think they are memory foam. The single beds are smaller than standard and not really suited for tall adults, unless you want cold feet :). There was lovely fresh flowers and a nice bottle of wine with cheese crackers upon arrival wich was greatly appreciated. Also note that there is very little/no phone signal in the bungalow but there is good fast WiFi and a land-line available. The Welsh coastal path is is only a 5 min walk away, there is a lovely walk down the estuary and through the golf course and back along Newport beach. Top top* don't forget your wellies or shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. There is a spar in town for essentials but good luck getting bread, we tryed 3 days and there was no bread at all, alltho there is a large co-op and tesco express in Fishguard which is only a 10-15 min drive away. Or there is a tesco superstore in cardigan which is around 20-25mins drive. There is a few pubs in town aswell, I can't comment as I never went in any of them. All in all we would absolutely recommend this cottage and would return time and time again.

The four of us, myself, partner and his parents thoroughly enjoyed a really relaxing week at goldcrest.

We weren’t allowed in until 6pm due to covid regulations being met, regarding cleanliness. That said, there were a number of areas where the standard wasn’t met...dusting nest of tables, moving sideboard to clean floor and stains/drips on the woodwork beside the dining table. These were niggles, and didn’t detract from the holiday. But these really should have been dealt with in the extra time that the cleaners had. The set up was great. Open plan so you could talk easily with each other, even into the garden, as you stepped onto a decked veranda from kitchen or lounge. Two great sized bedrooms, great shower and lounge area. We had a problem with the tv and the owners popped in within 30mins to sort it out. Both very helpful and friendly. Our dog really enjoyed the garden...and ran around it with joy! He really made the most of every inch! Newport is a gorgeous town which we’ve stayed in 4 times now. Invariably we will return as there is so much in Newport and in Fishguard and Cardigan, which are both close by car. Unfortunately we won’t be returning next year, purely due to the increase in cost, for the same period. But we may well look at other weeks, as we all loved the property.

We arrived on 25/3/23 to be greeted by Anne and David.

David showed us to the accomodation and we found a traditional welsh Barra Brith cake, fresh milk in the fridge and tea & coffee. What a welcome. Well that went down very well indeed. Yummy. The property itself is set in a very quiet cul de sac and it is beautiful. A very comfortable annexe style place. With all the bits n bobs you need for a great holiday. Very comfortable bed. Lovely garden. And a shower room that was just so dam good. The lounge had a lovely feel also. Decorated with Davids amazing photos on the wall. Yes he is a pro. The kitchen was well equipped modern and very clean. The bedroom had wonderfull patio style doors leading on to a patio area and garden. Marvelous in the warmer months. But the weather was not so kind for us. But nonetheless once again very clean and comfortable. The local area is wonderfull to visit with some really nice places and eateries nearby. But for us the star/stars of the show were David and Anne whos hospitality were beyond compare. We will be definately coming back.

We had a fabulous time at Goldcrest and will definitely think about visiting again.

The property was perfect in terms of the proximity to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, and to pubs and shops. The property provided everything you’d need - the only thing lacking was a pair of oven gloves, but not sure if that’s a ‘COVID’ thing. The owners were fantastic; a lovely bottle of wine and cheese crackers were there on our arrival, as well as a vase of gorgeous flowers (it’s the little things that count). We also had a problem with the shower of which we notified them and literally the same day, the plumber arrived to repair it. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Being a bungalow it was perfect for my Dad who’s disabled. We also loved the retro style of the house - it’s doesn’t need to be updated, as a previous review suggested, clearly not aware of what retro means. I’d absolutely recommend this property to anyone wishing to visit the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline.

Ann & David were very friendly & welcoming.

There was a welcome pack in the apartment which was both thoughtful and much appreciated. The apartment was extremly well appointed, clean and had everything we coud possibly need during our stay. The hosts had thoughtfully provided cards with details for resturants within the local and surrounding area which was very useful. There were also information leaflets on local walks, the many beautiful beaches in the area, and points of interest all with maps which are well worth exploring. The immediate area of Dinas Cross has a Pub, Chip Shop, petrol station with convenience store, which stocks a wide range of goods locally grown vegetables, fresh baked bread and cakes, fresh milk, and an off-licence. Our stay at The Swallows was a very relaxing one which we are going and looking forward to repeating in the future.
